The PhD Summary

The PhD summary is a peculiar torture inflicted on PhD authors. You have to produce a summary of a certain, short, length, describing 3 to 6 years' work.

Actually, it wasn't that bad. It wasn't an exactly specified number of words. I think it was just that it had to be under 300, or maybe between 200 and 300 words.

Also, Haikus are specified in syllables, not words. Just be glad PhD regulations don't specify the number of syllables, rather than the number of words, in the summary!
