[95 Oct 29] Recently I surprised a friend (a fellow computer scientist) by bringing up the connection between computer science and philosophy and even theology (from talking about the tower ideas); he could see the connection, and hadn't previously thought there was one although he's obviously a thinking person... so I thought perhaps I should write on why I don't see one of my fields of study as separate from the others, and further on why I don't see study as separate from the rest of my life.
